2017 Annual Meeting on May 3rd at Don Chapin Company Corporate Offices

As you know, our mission for the Salinas Valley Leadership Group is to affect change in local elected office by finding qualified candidates to run for these positions and by providing support and mentoring for these candidates. We understand the importance of searching for candidates that understand what it means to support LOCAL business, create jobs for the area, raise the standard of living, fight to keep our streets safe and support our kids, our families and our community.

Your membership counts!

We are very excited to share this year’s election results that we anticipate will affect major change on the Salinas City Council and the South County City Councils.

Salinas City Council Joe Gunter – Mayor Scott Davis – District 1 (Incumbent – Jose Castaneda) John “Tony” Villegas – District 6 (Incumbent – Jill Lutes)

Greenfield City Council Lance Walker

Soledad City Council Carla Stewart

Your membership has helped us achieve these results!

We are looking forward to 2017-2018 and building our membership base to 150 members who care about their community and want to be a part of political change. This is critical to preserve our communities’ stability throughout the greater Salinas area and South County.

You are invited to our “Annual BBQ Dinner” on May 3rd at the Don Chapin Company corporate office, located at 560 Crazy Horse Canyon Rd. Mark your calendars. Ribeye steaks, open hosted bar, great information and company. We will hear from a few of our successful candidates, provide more election results, and discuss the upcoming election cycle and what is at stake in the coming years. There is NO CHARGE for the dinner and none of our proceeds will be used to pay the costs. The dinner is hosted by the Board of Directors of the SVLG.

Please RSVP to Darla at dsmith@donchapin.com if you are able to join us! Please bring a new prospective member or two that share our concern for this community and would like to help us support and affect change.

Remember, YOUR membership makes a difference! Your contribution will help finance the SVLG’s long-term goals in effectively changing the political and leadership dynamics of our communities for the betterment of us all.

We thank you! See you May 3rd!!!

The Salinas Valley Leadership Board Don Chapin, Warren Wayland, Peter Kasavan, Brian Finegan, Christine Kemp, Brad Rice, LuAnn Meador, Ricky Cabrera, Rodney Braga, Alfred Diaz-Infante, Judge Jon Price and Operation’s Kyle Brown
